Karl Karlson, director of the marketing firm Arshape, is opening a meeting to discuss an important development for the company.

Hi everyone. Thanks for coming. We need to kick things off immediately as Miguel and the accounting team are using the room in 45 minutes. So to get the ball rolling, could you just raise your hand if you received and read the agenda for today's meeting? Excellent. In that case, you'll be aware that our company has just launched a joint venture with Aztec. We think this could be a fantastic opportunity for the company and for you personally in terms of career development. The main purpose of this meeting is to set some clear individual and team objectives for the coming quarter, so everyone knows exactly what targets we need to hit in order to make a success of the launch of the joint venture. That will be the bulk of today's meeting. The plan is that by the end of this meeting we'll have come up with a series of action points for you to follow up on before we next meet in two weeks' time.
