You're going to listen to an interview with Jennifer Whiteford, CEO (Chief Executive Officer) of Directa, talking about the release of her new podcast project.

-Joining us today is Jennifer Whiteford, CEO of Podcast Producer Director. Tell me, Jennifer, how did you come up with the idea for your latest project?" -I'd love to say it was all my own idea, but it was the result of a lot of blue-sky thinking from the whole team. We had a brainstorming session, and they came up with lots of original and creative suggestions."

False - Jennifer says her team used blue-sky thinking, which means they brainstormed with no limits.                                                                                                                   -"Great! And since the launch, you've gone from strength to strength. What are your listener figures now?" -"Well, I don't have the precise numbers with me, but I'd say a ballpark figure would be around 1.4 million."                                                             "Замечательно! С момента запуска вы достигли значительных успехов. Каковы сейчас ваши показатели слушателей?" "Ну, у меня нет точных данных, но приблизительная цифра будет около 1,4 миллиона. Jennifer is not able to say exactly how many listeners her podcast has. True Jennifer gives the interviewer a ballpark figure – an estimated number of listeners instead of the exact amount.

Jennifer used blue-sky thinking to come up with the idea for the project.

That's very impressive. So, were you confident in this project from the very beginning? Not at all, I'd say it was actually a bit of a long shot. Obviously, we weren't the first to try this format. Also, it's an incredibly competitive field, and finally, it took some time to convince investors to backup.

Why does Jennifer say she felt the project was "a long shot"? 

Because there are lots of similar products in the market.
The investors thought the proposal was a long shot, unlikely to succeed because of the large number of similar products.

After top of my head, I think there were a few crazy proposals, but nothing I'd be able to talk about in detail without checking. The truth is, though, I'd run out of ideas on my own, so I said to the team that the ball was in their court, and they really responded well to that test, which is why we're here today.
